Centra is a modern and highly customizable integrated digital health system that presents all healthcare stakeholders (patients, HMOs, doctors, nurses, staff, management, auditors, etc.) with a comprehensive suite of digital applications to capture, harmonize and manage clinical, administrative and financial information.

We worked with real, everyday clinicians and administrative staff to develop our applications, with invaluable lessons drawn from a careful understanding of their pain points in the use of existing systems and their views about what an effective and user-friendly system should look like.

Clinical Modules

Our clinical modules have been developed factoring in best practices that promote patient safety, improve their outcomes and increase the efficiency care. It is always our aim to help clinicians achieve a healthy balance between clinical documentation and actual delivery of care. Theatre

Streamlines and supports the day-to-day operations of a theatre

Improves the overall efficiency and safety of the many complex activities within the theatre by providing standardized, customizable documentation templates and checklists based on best practice, from pre-op to post-op. At the same time, the team have access to comprehensive and real-time information about the patient so that they can make well-informed decisions on the spot. Automated reminders for scheduled procedures down to wound dressings help to further keep the patient right in the centre of the process.

Antenatal

Manages the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and co-ordinated care to pregnant women

A mother- and baby-centred module that documents and monitors their journey from antenatal appointments, through labour and delivery, to part-partum care. It is fully integrated with the laboratory and radiology modules in order to make all the information required for optimal care easily accessible to the clinical team. Automated reminders help to minimize the chances of mothers missing their antenatal appointments.

Nursing Care

Records and tracks vital signs

An intuitive module that captures all the vital signs of patients such as temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, among others, and provides a chart of each vital, making it possible to instantly track a patient’s observations over time. Alerts for abnormal readings facilitate early identification of adverse trends for timely intervention.

Prescriptions

Electronic management of the prescription and dispensing of patient medications.

Facilitates the effective management and tracking of patients’ medication orders and dispensing process. Drug interaction checking and electronic transmission of prescriptions reduces the risk of human error just as it saves time. The automation of renewals and refills further minimizes the burden on the entire team.

Clinical Tasks

Co-ordinates and monitors the execution of clinical tasks

Facilitates the documentation and monitoring of the entire journey of an IVF patient from treatment and egg collection up to the development of the embryo and pregnancy. It offers the ability to track sperm and egg samples, embryo development, and cryopreservation significantly minimizing the risk of mixing up eggs, sperms or embryos ensuring safety, transparency and boosting trust in the process.

Laboratory

Inpatient Management/Admissions

Co-ordination of care for admitted patients

Simplifies the capturing, storage and retrieval of inpatient information including admissions, discharges and transfers (ADT). Patients can be instantly queued to see a doctor and equally get sent automated email and text reminders before scheduled appointments to minimize no-shows.
